Warm Glass Workshop Feb 17-20th, 2012 Friday: 11:00am - 5:00 pm Saturday 10:00 am-5:00 pm Sunday 12:00pm-4:00pm Monday 10:am till we're done In this workshop, you will design, cut out, assemble and fuse a minimum of 3 glass pieces. Friday will be a glass cutting and design workshop. We will fire our first 'scatter' plate noting the ability of one glass to react with other glass and create multiple colours and effects. Saturday and Sunday will be for will involve techniques for creating texture and relief on glass. We will explore fibre casting and creating fused elements to be fired on to base glass, itself made of layers of glass. We will also explore metal inclusions. Monday will be for all those things that we need to finish! The class will be full of information about firing schedules, ways of slumping, slumping without molds, casting and other warm glass techniques. Bring your questions! Class tuition is $560. There is also a lab fee of $112.00 * these costs include 12% HST
